In Ukraine, the artichoke is maturing. Farmers are increasingly beginning to grow this vegetable as a means of diversifying their business. This was reported to the publication "Horticulture and Vegetable Growing. T.I." by international expert on the storage of produce and the cultivation of niche crops, Pavlo Bulgakov. According to his calculations, currently, artichokes are being grown on an area of about 5 hectares in various parts of Ukraine. Pavlo Bulgakov is also engaged in the cultivation of this crop in Western Ukraine, in the Chernivtsi region, in the central part of the country, and in the Odesa region. "Such experience will allow me to form an expert opinion on the cultivation of artichokes in different climatic conditions and, accordingly, to provide practical recommendations regarding the planting scheme, timing of work, use of hybrid varieties, etc.," says the specialist.
