In Ordu, new techniques to increase yield in hazelnuts

Under the FINVER Project, which is being carried out by ORTAR A.Ş., the agricultural subsidiary of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, a new study has been initiated to increase the yield in hazelnut orchards. The project, which will implement terracing, single branch planting model, and subsurface drip irrigation systems together, aims to achieve 350 kilograms of product per decare. ORTAR A.Ş. expanded the pilot single branch and subsurface drip irrigation system, which it initially launched on a 5 decare area, to 15 decares. With the new application, the aim is to guide producers through example orchards and to reduce costs in hazelnut production. ORTAR A.Ş.
