In Russia, the rise in prices for “borscht set” vegetables has slowed down

From February 6 to 12, the rate of growth in prices for “borscht set” vegetables in Russia slowed down, according to Rosstat materials. Thus, cabbage rose in price by 1.8% (compared to 4.2% a week earlier), beets - by 1.5% (2.3%), onions - by 1.2% (1.3%), potatoes - by 0.8% (0.9%), carrots - by 0.7% (1.6%). The rise in prices for cucumbers also slowed from 4.6% to 3.2%, and apples rose in price by 0.6% (0.9%). At the same time, tomato prices accelerated their growth to 1.1% from the previous 0.6%. Since the beginning of this year, the largest price increase has been recorded for cucumbers - 28%. Cabbage rose in price by 20.7%, beets by 12.2%, tomatoes and carrots by 11.4%, potatoes by 9.6%, onions by 9.3%, bananas by 6.2%, apples - by 5.4%.
