Based on market feedback, UCN's latest assessment shows that the average price for FCA Oslo head-on gutted (HOG) 4-5kg salmon is NOK 75/kg, a drop of NOK 1/kg; the 6-7kg average price is NOK 76.5/kg, an increase of NOK 1.5/kg. The large-size salmon has seen a slight rebound, related to the larger drop last week.

U.S. market downturn

In the 44th week, the prices of fresh Norwegian salmon in the U.S. wholesale market generally declined, with Trim-D fillets dropping by around $0.10/lb.

Chilean salmon in the U.S. wholesale market remained basically stable, with the price of Trim-D Chilean fillets unchanged from last week.

Scottish salmon prices rise

In the 45th week, the prices of Scottish farmed salmon generally increased, with a significant rise. The 5-6kg size increased by £0.50/kg to £7.20/kg, and the 6-7kg size increased by £0.30/kg to £7.40/kg.
