In the 50th week, the price of Norwegian salmon increased significantly, with the average price approaching NOK 100/kg.

Based on market feedback, the latest assessment by UCN shows that the average price for FCA Oslo head-on gutted (HOG) 4-5kg salmon is NOK 99/kg, an increase of NOK 12.5/kg compared to the previous week; the price for 6-7kg salmon is NOK 99/kg, with an increase of NOK 12/kg. The average price for week 50 has already surpassed the levels of the same period in 2023 and 2024. In week 49, Norwegian salmon prices in the U.S. wholesale market saw a slight increase, with an average rise of $0.10/lb for Trim-D fillets and $0.50/lb for whole fish. However, on the other hand, Chilean salmon prices in the U.S. wholesale market declined, with a drop of $0.05/lb for Trim-D fillets in week 49. In week 50, Scottish salmon prices followed the Norwegian trend and increased, with a rise of £0.20-£0.60/kg, with prices for 5-6kg salmon at £7.40/kg and for 6-7kg salmon at £8.00/kg.
