According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Pskov region as of November 18, the production of milk in agricultural organizations in the region since the beginning of the year amounted to 190.1 thousand tons. There is an increase in gross milk yield by 3.3% (a year earlier the indicator was at the level of 184.0 thousand tons). The average daily productivity of fodder cows increased by 3.9% (23.8 kg instead of 22.9 kg last year). The leaders in gross milk production are agricultural enterprises of the Novosokolnichesky (44.5 thousand tons), Pskov (36.2 thousand tons), and Bezhanitsky (21.6 thousand tons) districts. The number of cows in agricultural organizations as of the reporting date amounted to 24.0 thousand heads with a total livestock of large cattle at 49.0 thousand heads.
