The cost of a 175 ml bottle is 1 US dollar (76 rubles). The most popular and widespread alcoholic beverages in the DPRK are ordinary and traditional rice vodka, beer, various tinctures, including those made from ginseng root or snake, as well as fermented beverages such as makgeolli. In recent years, the range and quality of domestically produced alcohol have significantly expanded.
