Starting from June 1, 2026, an agreement between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on mutual recognition of warehouse certificates for agricultural products will come into force, according to the website LogiStan. As explained, this agreement establishes uniform methodologies for the issuance, circulation, and redemption of warehouse certificates. It also introduces a provision granting warehouses the right to issue and distribute warehouse certificates. In addition, the agreement provides market participants with access to information about warehouses intended for the storage of agricultural products: • about the location; • about the type; • about the areas and volumes of warehouse infrastructure; • about the availability of necessary equipment; • about vacant spaces and storage capacities. FOR REFERENCE: warehouse certificates are non-documentary non-emission securities that certify their holders' right to receive agricultural products from a warehouse in the volume specified in the certificate.
