Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports experienced a 12.4% increase in the first two months of 2023, totaling US$564.95 million, with China being a significant market that saw a 25.3% rise in imports. Other countries like South Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands also contributed to the growth in exports. Cassava and cassava products, being the country's second-largest agricultural export after rice, saw an 88.8% increase in volume and a 74.2% increase in value, with China accounting for 93.36% of these exports. Despite being the world's third-largest exporter of cassava and cassava products, Vietnam faces challenges such as high logistics costs and competition from other countries like Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia.
