According to data from the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, Kazakhstan is the largest importer of agricultural products from the Omsk region, with a total import value of $159 million. India ranks third, with a total import value of $56.3 million. By 2025, agricultural exports from the Omsk region will reach at least 45 countries. The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center pointed out that China is one of the main import countries of plant products, food, processed products, and dairy products from the Omsk region. The geographical location of the Omsk region has many advantages, as it is at the intersection of important transportation corridors connecting Europe, the Far East, Kazakhstan, and China. Nikolai Drov, the Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Processing Industry of the Omsk region, stated that the region's total grain production exceeds domestic consumption by more than double, enabling the region to export grain to China and other countries. At the same time, the implementation of investment projects has also promoted the growth of grain exports. On January 14, the Agricultural Products Export Development Center, a subsidiary of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, informed the satellite news agency that from January to November 2025, Russian agricultural exports to China increased by 14%, with China remaining the largest importer of Russian agricultural products. The value of Russian agricultural exports to China exceeded $6.7 billion. In 2025, the largest agricultural export from Russia to China is frozen fish.
