Russian flour confectionery exports, including sweet dry biscuits, wafers, and crispbreads, have experienced positive growth, with increases in shipments to various countries such as Bahrain, Burundi, and Uruguay. Despite this, exports of rusks and croutons saw a decrease. Kazakhstan and Belarus remain the largest buyers of Russian flour confectionery, with Belarusan purchases experiencing a significant increase. The growing popularity of Russian flour confectionery is attributed to the expansion of product ranges and their affordability, as many countries have seen a decrease in purchasing power. Exports of MKI have been consistently increasing over the years, reaching $ 426 million at the end of 2019, and are expected to at least maintain 2019 levels, assuming no disruptions due to a second wave of coronavirus.
