According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Altai Republic, by October 20, the region had almost completed the harvesting of feed. It was carried out on an area of 167.0 thousand hectares (at the level of 2024). Grass from natural meadows was harvested on 68.7 thousand hectares, annual grasses for fodder purposes and silage crops on 51.7 thousand hectares, perennial grasses of bare sowing on 41.5 thousand hectares, spring cereals and legumes (for feed and seeds) on 5.5 thousand hectares. As a result, by the reporting date, the region's farmers had harvested: hay - 254.1 thousand tons (100% of the plan), silage - 55.3 thousand tons (105.7%), silage - 13.6 thousand tons (100%).
