During the reported period, grain transportation volume exceeded 13.3 million tons, an increase of 45%. In the first nine months of this year, grain transportation volume reached 9.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 40%. Of this, 7.3 million tons were exported and 2.2 million tons were transported domestically, he said.
According to his introduction, the main directions for grain exports are showing a positive trend. For example, although grain exports to China have decreased, flour exports reached 2.2 million tons, an increase of 4.6 times.
This indicates that processing enterprises have increased the production of high value-added products. In addition, exports to Central Asian countries increased by 34%. Transportation to Iran via Aktau Port has also resumed, increasing by 3.3 times. Exports to Afghanistan increased by 40%. Exports to Russia and via Russia increased by 4.2 times. Exports to Azerbaijan also increased, he said.
The Deputy Minister of Transport stated that exports via the Baltic countries and ports increased by 14 times, and exports via the Russian Baltic and Black Sea ports increased by 1.4 times. Additionally, new markets in Africa (Morocco, Algeria), Vietnam, and the European Union have been developed.
