For the first time in Kazakhstan's history, drip irrigation technology has been implemented on 32,000 hectares in the fields of the Turkestan region. This became a significant step in modernizing cotton farming and transitioning to efficient water use. The new system allows for a significant increase in crop yield: while traditional methods yielded an average of 25 centners of raw cotton per hectare, drip irrigation enables up to 60 centners. According to experts, this is three times higher than previous indicators. Since the beginning of the year, water-saving technologies have been introduced on 59,000 hectares in the region, exceeding the initially planned 27,000. By 2030, half of all irrigated lands in the region will be converted to new irrigation methods. To provide farmers with the necessary equipment, four factories have been opened in the region, producing drip and sprinkler irrigation systems with a total capacity of over 113,000 hectares per year. ...
