In Ukraine, subsidies are being prepared for farmers who grow cotton

In the draft budget for 2025, it is planned to allocate funding for subsidies to farmers who grow cotton, because currently the Ministry of Strategic Industries needs 10,000 tons of cotton raw materials. It should be noted that on May 14, 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Distribution of Cotton Varieties in Ukraine", adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on April 23, 2024. In May, specialists of the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Varieties Examination (UIESR) sowed fields with five experimental varieties of cotton. Along with the fact that farmers will help support the defense capability of the country, they will also have the opportunity to modernize and reboot the structure of their farms.
