In Ukraine, the issuance of paper phytosanitary certificates for export to the EU is being discontinued.

In compliance with the phytosanitary measures of the European Union, as of November 1, Ukraine will cease issuing paper phytosanitary certificates and re-export phytosanitary certificates for EU countries, according to the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. "Exporters of regulated items who will be importing goods to EU countries will additionally be provided with the number and date of the issued electronic phytosanitary certificate (ePhyto)," the announcement adds. These changes are related to Ukraine's accession to the international centralized information system ePhyto HUB, which ensures the exchange of phytosanitary certificates and re-export phytosanitary certificates.
