The intensification of Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports, the energy system, and internal logistics could lead to a slowdown in exports and an increase in final grain stocks in the 2025/26 marketing year. This is stated in a report by FAS USDA, as reported by "ProAgro Group". At the same time, FAS notes that there is no shortage of domestic farm elevators in Ukraine, so a possible slowdown in exports does not necessarily lead to the spoilage or disposal of grain due to inadequate storage conditions. In the first half of the 2025/26 MY (July–December 2025), the average pace of grain exports from Ukraine was 30% slower than in the same period of the 2024/25 MY. Exports in 2025 were limited by Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system, railway and port infrastructure, as well as on vessels – both in ports and in the Black Sea.
