In Uzbekistan, a Presidential Decree "On Measures for Implementing a Simplified Procedure for Calculating Value Added Tax in the Agricultural Sector" has been adopted, reports Norma.uz. According to the information, starting from January 1, 2026, a zero VAT rate will be introduced for the sale of products grown by agricultural producers. The benefit will extend to fruits, vegetables, meat, milk, eggs, and other agricultural products, with the exception of cotton and grain. The list of products covered by the benefit will be approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tax Committee and published on their official websites. In parallel, a mechanism for automatic VAT reimbursement is being introduced—amounts paid when purchasing goods and services for the production of agricultural products will be refunded within three days.
