Bangladesh: Incentives provided to cultivate sugarcane

Industries secretary Zakia Sultana on Saturday said that the government was providing incentives so that the farmers were encouraged to cultivate sugarcane and the government was also taking initiative so that the price of sugarcane increased.She said this while talking to reporters after visiting the demonstration field at Mubarakganj Sugar Mill in Jhenaidah and the demonstration field of Carew & Company (Bangladesh) Ltd in Chuadanga under Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation to increase quality and high yield sugarcane production, said a press release.
