Uzbekistan is set to boost its potato yield by at least 30% through a five-year collaboration with the International Potato Center (CIP). The program, which will launch this year with the establishment of the Center for Advanced Research and Development of Potato Growing, aims to enhance food security and climate resilience by introducing new potato and sweet potato varieties. As part of the partnership, CIP has been accredited in Uzbekistan, marking the start of operations for its local office. The initiative is expected to not only increase yields but also boost farmers' profits by at least 15%.
