Prices of chilies in Indonesia reached IDR 120 thousand per kilo; Yerry Tawalujan asks the government to immediately control chili prices

JAKARTA - National Spokesperson for the Perindo Party, Yerry Tawalujan, spoke about the price of chilies in various regions which has soared and is becoming increasingly 'spicy'. It is known that the increase in chili prices in various regions varies from IDR 80 thousand per kilogram in West Java, IDR 90 thousand to IDR 100 thousand in DKI Jakarta. The most expensive are in the West Bangka and Pangkal Pinang areas at IDR 117 thousand to IDR 120 thousand per kilogram. Yerry said the uncontrolled increase in chili prices was a test of the Government's ability, especially the National Food Agency (Bapanas), to control food commodity prices. "The question is, who has the most authority to control food prices besides the Government?
