Indonesia: President to launch first corn export to Malaysia

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya announced that President Prabowo Subianto will oversee the inaugural export of corn from Bengkayang District in West Kalimantan to Malaysia on Thursday. “(The president will export corn) to Malaysia,” Wijaya told ANTARA in a written message received in Jakarta on Thursday. Wijaya earlier remarked that the president, accompanied by National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, would attend a corn harvest in Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, on Thursday. “Polri chief will also join the president’s working visit to West Kalimantan to review the corn harvest,” he remarked.
