The Indonesian government has made an important announcement regarding the country's food self-sufficiency by deciding not to carry out any rice import activities in 2026. This announcement was made following a recent inter-ministerial coordination meeting in Jakarta, attended by high-level leaders from the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investments Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, and Statistics Indonesia.
