INIA carries out packaging of forage oats in EEA of Junín in Peru

In order to ensure the feeding of the animals in the dry season, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru through the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation, INIA, has been packing the INIA 901 Oats at the Santa Agraria Experimental Station. Ana. Oats (Avena sativa L.) is a very versatile annual grass in its adaptability to different environmental and handling conditions, which is used in feeding for cattle, sheep, alpacas and small animals. This variety of oats INIA 901- Mantaro 15M, has a high yield in biomass and a good nutritional content, characteristics that allow improving the feeding of cattle in the high Andean areas of the central highlands.
