The forecast from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) indicates heavy rain and episodes of severe weather in different regions of the country between April 6th and 13th, with the highest accumulations in the North, Northeast, and South. While areas of Amazonas may register more than 150 mm during the week, the South region should face storms associated with the formation of an extratropical cyclone in the first days of the period, increasing the risk of extreme events. In the Northern Region, the highest rainfall totals are expected in Amazonas, eastern Pará, and the border with Tocantins and Maranhão, exceeding 100 mm in 7 days, and potentially reaching more than 150 mm in isolated areas of Amazonas.
