The deep bed is a technology that allows pig breeding to extend to marginal areas and improves productivity, compared to a field system. For this reason, in southern Tucumán, a team from the Rural Extension Agency Graneros is promoting the adoption of this technology in the region. Studies conducted by specialists from the Pig Agricultural Demonstration Unit of the Marcos Juárez Experimental Station in Córdoba demonstrate that the deep bed system is a sustainable alternative with productive indicators that approach those expected in a confined system.
