The Kazakh Research Institute of Horse Breeding and Forage Production has been established in Aktobe, as per the directive of the country's President. The institute's primary focus will be on researching and developing ways to improve horse breeding, promoting domestic breeds both domestically and internationally. The institute aims to increase the number of breeding horses by 6-7% over the next five years. The institute also plans to create an information database, a semen and embryo bank, and an immune genetics laboratory, and will establish a specialized veterinary clinic for horses. The institute will also work on increasing the genetic potential of horses by selection and technological methods, with the aim of increasing the productivity of bred breeds by 20-25%.
