Iran is among the world’s leading agricultural producers according to FAO

TEHRAN – Latest statistics published by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) show that Iran stood among the world’s top producers of many agricultural products in 2021, Tasnim news agency reported.Based on the FAO data, the Islamic Republic was the world’s second-biggest producer of pistachios and the third-largest producer of dates, honey, and walnuts in the world.Iran's pistachio production stood at 135,000 tons in 2021, placing the country in second place after the United States with 523,000 tons of production.
