Ukraine has seen a 11% increase in kiwi imports in the first 11 months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, reaching a total of 16.4 thousand tons. The average consumption of kiwi in Ukraine is expected to exceed 400 grams per inhabitant per year. Greece, traditionally the main supplier, has been surpassed by Iran, which increased deliveries by 67% and now accounts for 40% of kiwi imports to Ukraine. Turkey has also started exporting kiwi to Ukraine, taking fifth place in the supply rankings. The average retail price for kiwi in Ukraine in January 2022 was 50-60 UAH/kg ($1.7-2.1 USD/kg), making it an affordable fruit in the country.
