Iran leads the pool of importers of Volgograd, Russia grain

Iran remains the main buyer of Volgograd grain, reports the correspondent of KazakhZerno.kz, citing data from the regional branch of the Center for Grain Quality Assessment. According to the ministry, last year the Volgograd region exported almost 754 thousand tons of grain products. In total, grain was purchased by 28 countries of the world, including such distant markets as Taiwan, Japan, South Africa and Bahrain. Iran tops the rating of importers with a share of 48% of the total volume of grain shipped from the Volgograd region. Iranian companies purchased about 422 thousand tons of grain (mainly wheat, chickpeas and corn). Azerbaijan is in second position in import with a share of 16% (over 141 thousand tons). This country buys wheat. Latvia is in third place with a share of 14% (almost 126 thousand tons of wheat and other grains were purchased).
