Iranian citrus export reached 150,000 tons

In the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to December 21, 2022), Iran exported 150,000 tons of citrus worth 52.5 million euros, according to an official of the Ministry of Agriculture. Zahra Jalili-Moqadam, the director-general of the ministry's tropical and subtropical fruits office, estimated the country's total citrus crop for the current year at 5.6 million tons, of which 3.4 million tons are oranges. According to Jalili-Moqadam, 107,000 tons of oranges, 37,000 tons of mandarins and 5,000 tons of lemons were exported to other countries in the first nine months of this year.
