In the financial year 2022-23, Iran experienced a significant decline in its pistachio exports, with a total of 56,298 tons valued at $405.04 million, marking a 58.4% decrease in weight and a 55.7% decrease in value compared to the previous year. Russia emerged as the leading importer, followed by India and Iraq, with exports reaching 57 countries. This decline continues a downward trend in pistachio exports that has been ongoing since fiscal 2007-08, when exports were at their peak.
