Uzbekistan and Iran have strengthened their agricultural cooperation following the September Memorandum of Cooperation. Recent discussions between Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture, Aziz Voitov, and Iran's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Hamidm Nayirobadi, covered the development of saffron and pistachio cultivation techniques, the import of virus-free potato seeds, and the introduction of wheat cultivation technologies in arid regions. Both countries plan to form a joint working group to monitor the progress of their agricultural partnership, with a meeting scheduled for February 2023 in Tashkent.
