Iran has become the world's third-largest producer of dates, with a production of 1.3 million tons in the current Iranian calendar year, exporting 350,000 tons worth $270 million. The country has also seen a 22% increase in the value of its agricultural and foodstuff exports in the first 10 months of the year. The top five exported food and agricultural products include dairy products, pistachios, tomatoes, apples, and fishery products.
