From March 21 to October 22 of the current fiscal year, Iran traded 61.8 million tons of non-oil commodities with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, generating $28.73 billion in revenue. The UAE, Turkey, and Iraq emerged as Iran's primary trade partners, accounting for significant volumes and values of imports and exports. Compared to the previous year, Iran's trade with non-OIC countries saw a notable increase, reaching 98.7 million tons worth $54.8 billion. This trade activity included essential goods and various commodities, with the UAE and China serving as major importers of Iranian goods. The trade dynamics have been influenced by factors such as subsidized foreign currency allocation for essential goods imports, the impact of sanctions, and the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to changes in trade volumes and values.
