The Korea Forest Service has announced a successful export contract worth $400,000 (540 million won) following one-on-one buyer consultation sessions in Singapore and Malaysia. This deal, made by the Korea Jujube Export Council, aims to expand the jujube export market from Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam to Singapore and Malaysia. Korean jujubes, known for their unique characteristics and strong flavor, have attracted interest as a promising export item. Despite steady exports from 2019 to 2021, the Korea Forest Service is looking to diversify export markets as Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore accounted for 68% of total exports in 2021.
