The 2024 report by the FADA Foundation reveals that Argentina's agro-industrial chains contributed significantly to the country's foreign currency earnings, accounting for 61% of the total with exports valued at $48.37 billion in the previous year. This represents a 19.4% increase in total exports and a 24.6% rise in agro-industrial chains' exports. The report also indicates that on average, these chains exported about 48% of their total production, with variations among different complexes. Some complexes, such as pear, fish, legume, lemon, and tea, exported more than half of their production, while others like meat, dairy, and certain fruit and forestry complexes had an export/production ratio below 50%. Argentina's participation in the global trade of various products ranged from being the leading exporter of soybean oil, oil, and lemon juice to holding the fifth place in the export of shrimp/prawns, milk powder, and barley.
