A consultation meeting was held between Nejdat Sin, Chairman of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association, Bekir Pakdemirli, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, and other stakeholders to discuss the application of cultural, biological, and biotechnical control methods against plant pests. The meeting aimed to enhance Turkey's fresh fruit and vegetable exports, which saw a 19% increase to exceed $2 billion in the first nine months of the year. The discussion also included the reduction of pesticide residue, the importance of Good Agricultural practices, and the significance of timely preventive measures against pests. The 'Turkey Brand' made a mark at the Moscow World Food Fair 2021, representing 30 companies among over 650 companies and attracting over 16,000 visitors.
