It is estimated that Ecuador's shrimp exports will reach 1.5 million tons this year.

In May, the export volume was 151,521 tons, setting a new historical high for monthly export volume among all producing countries globally.

Ecuador's largest export market for shrimp remains China, with total exports expected to reach nearly 800,000 tons this year.

Following closely is Europe, with exports exceeding 300,000 tons, while the United States ranks third with exports of approximately 250,000 tons.

In the first half of 2025, Ecuador's exports to the European Union and Japan increased by 44% and 57%, respectively.
