The General Directorate of Fisheries in Khuzestan, Iran, is implementing measures to conserve genetic resources and restore water reserves by releasing native fish fry into the province's internal water resources. In 1402, 6.35 million native fish were released, and this year, the number is projected to exceed 8 million. This initiative is part of a national festival aimed at releasing 450 million fish in various bodies of water across the country.
