Iceland's fish catch in January 2023 was significantly lower than the previous year, with a total of 110 thousand tonnes compared to 220 thousand tonnes in January 2022. The preliminary data for the 12-month period from February 2022 to January 2023 shows a total catch of 1.3 million tonnes, which is equal to the same period the year before. The data is collected and reported by the Directorate of Fisheries.
