Taku Etou, during a press conference after the 15th Cabinet meeting, expressed that the outline agreement of the UK Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) regarding the dairy zone, centered around Hokkaido, has not been reached. He emphasized that no additional domestic measures are necessary and no import quota will be set. For soft cheeses, including blue cheese, low tariffs will be applied to UK products only if there is remaining European EPA import quota.
