Japan is critically dependent on Russian crabs

Japanese consumers are heavily dependent on crab imports from Russia. The local newspaper Nihon Keizai writes about this with reference to local businessmen. According to her data, the share of purchases of these products has increased to 68.8 percent this year. The publication cites American sanctions imposed due to the Russian military special operation (SVO) in Ukraine as the reason.
