Lee esta noticia en Español Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) authorized Peruvian Hass avocado imports for the 2026 season. The approval was formalized through a phytosanitary audit conducted by the Asian agency in the Latin American country. In a LinkedIn post, the Association of Hass Avocado Producers and Exporters of Peru ( ProHass ) reported that between March 23 and 27, a Japanese Government representative visited and assessed the country’s avocado production fields and packing plants to verify compliance with the requirements demanded by that market. As a result, the Asian country greenlit the shipment of the fruit for this season, further consolidating Peru's position as a premium exporter on the global stage.
