The national non-profit association Alcachofa de España held its XII Extraordinary General Assembly in San Pedro del Pinatar (Region of Murcia), at which the renewal of its board of directors was approved and, for the first time, the incorporation of Javier Rillo, general director of Benihort, as a board member. With this appointment, Javier Rillo joins the governing body of the entity, occupying one of the six board positions and reinforcing the presence of the Benicarló producer sector within the national association. The Castellón cooperative joined Alcachofa de España in 2022, consolidating its involvement in the promotion of this product since then. The new Board of Directors of Alcachofa de España is composed of Pedro Herrera as president; Joaquín Ortuño (SAT Olé), as vice president; Julio Marín (Cricket), as treasurer; and Antonio Ángel Hurtado (Alcachofa Vega Baja), as secretary.
