However, those who are employed under the National Health Insurance Act, those with comprehensive income from non-agricultural sources exceeding 370 million won, and those with unpaid local taxes are excluded from the allowance support.

The farmer's allowance can be applied for by visiting the town or township office or neighborhood unit with identification and the local currency card "Tamnaneun Jeon." Online applications are also possible through the Subsidy 24 website.

New applicants must submit an additional cultivation confirmation letter proving they are actually engaged in farming.

Jeju Province expects about 52,000 farmers in the province to receive the farmer's allowance.
