Jeju Island plans to invest a total of KRW 211.5 billion in the agriculture, livestock, and food sectors in 2024 to stabilize the farm economy, establish a planned production-consumption system, and create a high-quality citrus production base. The province will focus on strengthening agricultural competitiveness through system innovation, promoting autonomous supply and demand stabilization for agricultural products, and establishing data-based policies to understand the actual conditions of Jeju agriculture. Director Moon Gyeong-sam of the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Bureau emphasized the importance of listening to the voices of the agricultural fields and further strengthening cooperation with related organizations to resolve pending issues, in order to develop agriculture into a sustainable future industry.
