REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said the government is ready to conduct operations in the horticulture commodities market, particularly for chilies and onions, to maintain price stability ahead of Christmas and New Year (Nataru). Amran tasked the Directorate General of Horticulture to strengthen intervention measures in production centers and distribution channels. Monitoring is being done more intensively in areas prone to logistical disruptions due to flooding or landslides that often occur at the end of the year. “We ask that the entire team, we operate the market,” said Amran during a press conference at his office in Jakarta on Thursday (11/12/2025).
