In Jiande, Zhejiang, local farmers, led by Rao Youhua, have found a profitable venture in the traditional tea oil pressing process. With over 30 years of tea tree cultivation, Rao's 20-acre garden in Lijia Town has become a significant source of income for the community. The town's 17,000 mu of camellia oleifera plantation, spread across 9 professional cooperatives and production enterprises, has an annual output value of 22 million yuan, translating to an additional income of 2,000 yuan per mu per year for the local farmers. This venture not only enhances the farmers' income but also promotes the cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials, with over 500 households involved and an annual sales of more than 21 million yuan.
