Currently, it is the maturity period for China's famous Guli plum variety. Guli plums are a unique plum variety from Jiaxing, Zhejiang, known for their juiciness and sweetness.
On July 5th, the first batch of over 80 boxes (340 kilograms) of Guli plums was released by the Jiaxing Customs under Hangzhou Customs and shipped to the UAE. These plums went on sale on July 7th and quickly sold out. This marks the first export of Jiaxing Guli plums, with this local specialty fruit opening the door to the international fresh fruit market.
According to reports, these Guli plums come from the Huirong Family Farm in Honghe Town, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing. The first exported batch features fruits weighing 60 to 70 grams each, with a sugar content reaching 16 degrees. They were placed on shelves at Dubai chain supermarkets WEMART (Wen Supermarket Group) and Hippo Box, with each premium box containing 7 large fruits, retailing at 328 dirhams, equivalent to approximately 639 yuan, with each individual plum priced at 91 yuan.
